The Course

Entry Requirements:

1. Basic Reflexology Diploma

2. Diploma CSR or at least 1st Module of 2nd Year Diploma Course CSR

Students will be introduced to the structure of the brain their functions and interactions in the philosophy of cranio-sacral reflexology.

Introducing students to neuroscience.

This module involves the study of the functions of the neurotransmitters and their effects on the body and the brain.

Students will learn 5 protocols:

1. how to activate the brain via the basic protocol on the feet

2. will define areas of the brain involved in consciousness, emotional control and the disturbed functions of the lobes on the feet and their specific protocols

The whiplash injury will cover how the physical, emotional and mental shock effect a human being on all Three levels.

Students will have to master the special protocol to treat those Three levels.

Learning Outcomes for This Module:

LO1. Neuroscience in reflexology is a very ambitious program. Clear knowledge in the exact anatomical positions of the organs of the brain, and that of the transmission of impulse from one organ to another is needed to acquire high level of precision in manipulating those very small areas on the feet.

This module will provide that.

LO2. Students will be made to understand the functions of hormones and neurotransmitters, their actions on the body and the brain

LO3. Students will learn the different types and functions of brain cells, the Grey and White matter, the different types of neurons and their impulse.

LO4. Understanding the brain waves, how they work and their significance and rhythm

LO5. Students will learn the significance of whiplash injuries and their effects on the physical, emotional and mental level of man

LO6. Students will have to master the 4 protocols of the brain and 1 protocol for the whiplash

On completion of this module the learner will have knowledge of:

A/ The Brain:

The seat of consciousness and its anatomical position

The brain structures and their relation with each other:

thalamus, hypothalamus, pituitary, brain stem, the cerebellum, the limbic lobe, the hippocampus and the cerebral cortex.

The functional brain:

sensing the world, nervous impulse, oxygenation and glucose supply, regulation of pain, emotions and feelings language and communication, sleep, alterations of consciousness.
